A red minibus slammed into a broken down dump truck on Kwun Tong Road this morning, injuring six people including the minibus driver.

The minibus was travelling along Kwun Tong Road towards Kowloon Bay just before 10am this morning (17 April) when it struck the stationary truck parked on the highway at Choi Shek Lane. Three ambulances arrived on the scene and took the 55-year-old driver, Mr Leung, and five passengers to Queen Elizabeth Hospital – all were conscious and suffering only minor injuries, according to police.

Police say no arrests were made.

According to public police figures, 32 people died on Hong Kong’s roads in the first quarter of the year. There were 113 road deaths in the whole of 2019.
