A contractor for MTR died in a work accident at Hong Kong Station in the early hours of this morning (13 May).
“At about 2.00am this morning, a MTR contractor worker was working in a generator room at the Hong Kong Station on the Tung Chung Line. He was injured after falling from height,” says an MTR spokesman.
“An ambulance was summoned by the station staff afterwards. The worker was subsequently certified dead after being conveyed to the hospital. The accident is pending investigation,” says the spokesman.
