Transit Jam is a daily news site dedicated to Hong Kong transport sustainability, safety, technology.
We’ve grown fast in the last year, with tens of thousands of regular readers and our own radio show on RTHK.
We need a reporter to cover the nuts and bolts of Hong Kong’s transport news: what’s happening on the buses, trains, roads, trams and ferries; policy initiatives, successes and failures; and the role of transport in Hong Kong’s zero carbon vision.
We need a Cantonese-speaker, and someone with a geniune interest in transport. There’ll be day-to-day reporting, but we’ll also need our reporters to be digging out new stories and scoops.
The reporter will be based in our office in Wan Chai, needing to travel around HK as required: we’re happy to discuss part-time or parenting requirements etc.
Tenacity, initiative and an genuine interest in sustainable transport is more important than English writing skills.
Reporters will also have priority to join our Wham Bam Tram! radio team (which is volunteer-based, no pay) if they wish!
Please send a CV and brief note explaining why you’d make a fabulous Transit Jam reporter to firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 9410 4988 for a chat about the role.
