MAN DIES IN ABERDEEN MOTORBIKE CRASH

A 60-year-old man died last night as he reportedly struck a concrete barrier on his motorbike and overturned.

Police say Mr Chan was riding along Ap Lei Chai Bridge Road towards Ap Lei Chau at 7:35pm. He was approaching Lei Chi Road when the crash happened.

Chan was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital with multiple injuries and was certified dead at 8:30pm.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the crash to contact investigating officers on 3660 6814.

There were 130 reported motorbike crashes in Southern District in 2020, according to the latest available data from Transport Department. Among them, 24 caused serious or life-changing injuries, while one was fatal.
