Down from the 11-year-old girl’s ripped puffer jacket collects in a pool of blood. Her family (right) wait for news at Prince of Wales Hospital
A schoolgirl is in critical condition after being run down on a pavement and dragged and trapped under a seven-seater car outside a car park in Sha Tin yesterday evening.
The horrific incident outside the Yu Chui Shopping Centre saw frantic passersby trying to lift the vehicle to free the trapped 11-year-old girl, who was knocked unconscious by the smash.
Driver Mr Wu, 47, had been leaving the Yu Chui Shopping Centre car through a pavement-crossing exit when he struck and ran over the girl.
The victim was rushed unconscious to Prince of Wales Hospital: police this morning said she is still unconscious and her family are with her in hospital.
Police arrested driver Wu for dangerous driving causing serious injury.
