CYCLIST DIES 12 DAYS AFTER KWUN TONG CRASH

A cyclist died in hospital yesterday afternoon after being found injured and semi-conscious on the road 12 days ago.

The 60-year old man, Mr Fan, was found lying in Hip Wo Street, near Kwun Tong Roundabout, at 6.30am on 18 April with head injuries. His bicycle was nearby.

Fan was rushed semi-conscious to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he died yesterday afternoon (30 April).

Police have no further information and are urging witnesses to come forward. Witnesses or those with information should contact the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, on 2305 7500 or 2305 7570.

Seven cyclists were killed and 1,624 injured, 162 seriously, on Hong Kong’s roads in 2019, according to Transport Department figures.
